Richard Goss, BA CPP is a British national resident in Bangkok, Thailand. He has over twelve years as a respected security consultant in Asia.

Richard was formerly employed for seven years by a large world leader in the provision of guard and security services in Macau and Hong Kong.  He was responsible for the provision of a wide range of specialist services including: security guarding, cash-in-transit security, Gurkha security services, special event security management, and ATM Management. Subsequent attachments to the company’s marine security division in Hong Kong saw Richard responsible for all security matters relating to three of Hong Kong’s eight container terminals, warehouse depots and other distribution centers, oil refineries, major international container lines and Cunard Lines’ cruise ships, such as the QE2.

Relocating to Thailand, Richard brings to the industry a respected track record in Security Consulting and Risk Management Services, providing his predominantly international client base with a variety of services tailored to meet their specific requirements. Richard’s core competencies lie in performing security surveys/audits, risk assessments, emergency planning, security design project work, integrated security systems design and on-site security management.

Over the last eight years Richard has been an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security, through which he has been Board Certified in Security Management by the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP).

He currently serves as Co-Chairman of both the British Chamber and the American Chambers of Commerce Security Committees, the latter being the local Chapter of OSAC, the US-based Overseas Security Advisory Council.  Richard has also served as a guest lecturer in Physical Security Design and Security Management and Thammasat University’s Faculty of Business Administration in Bangkok, Thailand.

Richard speaks English, French, Cantonese and Thai.
